Providence St. Joseph Health is a faith-based not-for-profit health and social services system committed to providing for the needs of the communities it serves – especially for those who are poor and vulnerable. Providence's services include 50 hospitals, 829 clinics, senior services, supportive housing and many other health and educational services. The health system and its affiliates employs more than 111,000 people across seven states – Alaska, California, Montana, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas and Washington – with its system office located in Renton, Washington. In 2016, Providence provided more than $1.6 billion in community benefit. Providence St. Joseph Health continues a tradition of caring that the Sisters of Providence began nearly 160 years ago.
